Hello Everyone!
My name is Justin Legal and I am the Photographer and Editor of Rise and Fall Photography.
This page is just a little bit about me and why I do what I do.
Photography has been a hobby of mine since I was in High School. The reason why I started taking photos is simple really; I love it! And I knew that this is the profession I wanted to pursue as a life long career.
The freedom of emotions captured through images, is what really drives me. As the saying goes "A picture is worth a thousand words". I'm inspired by many styles of photography and I am always willing to try something new!
A little about me!
I was born in the 90's, I was born and raised in Calgary, AB. I've always wanted to travel though. I originally went to post secondary for personal fitness training, and through that experience I didn't feel it was a good fit for me in the end.
After the life altering year I had in 2020, I came up with the name "Rise and Fall Photography".
To start 2020 off, my dad was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and was given roughly 6 months to live. Then on July 11th, 2020, I had a stroke while downhill mountain biking. To this Day I still struggle with lingering Side effects. Come December 10th, 2020, my dad lost his 8 year battle to brain cancer.
What 2020 showed me is that you will have up's and down's in life. All that matters is you rise after you fall and that is how I came up with the name of
"Rise and Fall Photography".
